Career Point University, Hamirpur was established in 2012 by the Government of Himachal Pradesh under the Career Point University Act.The campus is spread over roughly 30 acres in a rural-hilly environment surrounded by the lower Himalayas at Hamirpur district — offering a pollution-free, calm setting for academics.CPU offers a broad spectrum of courses — from B.Tech, B.Sc (Hons), BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Pharm, BHMCT (Hotel Management), to professional and postgraduate degrees (M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc, M.A, etc.) and PhD programs across disciplines including engineering, sciences, pharmacy, health sciences, management, law, humanities, and allied fields.The university infrastructure includes separate hostels for boys and girls, modern labs and computer facilities, well-equipped library (with books, journals, e-resources, project reports and automated system), auditorium, cafeteria/mess, transport facility from nearby districts, and sports & recreation facilities.CPU also highlights research and innovation: it hosts over 200+ PhD scholars, has a Technology Enabling Centre recognised by the Government of India’s DST, a start-up incubator under state scheme, MoUs with national research institutes, and offers rural community outreach and traditional medicine research.
